La Ventana is the written comprehensive history of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The book, produced every year, is in its 85th volume, and continues to remain true to the tradition set down by the Board of Regents in 1925.

Delivered in the spring of every year, the book is printed in full color and is approximately 350 pages. The cost of the 2010 La Ventana is $65. Books can be purchased in the Student Media building or through Raiderlink. Class portraits are taken during the fall semester. For more information see Yearbook Picture Information.

The book's sections include student life, athletics, student organizations, Greek life and traditional class portraits. Organizations may purchase portrait pages in the book in the fall of every year. For more information see Organization Page Sales.

La Ventana is a publication produced by students in the Department of Student Media, in the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. The book uses the independent editor model, meaning the student editor, chosen by the Student Media Committee, runs the day-to-day activities of the publication and is in no way influenced by outside officials as far as coverage and editorial decisions. Staff members hired by the editor produce the book during the fall and spring semesters.
